Operating memory – serves to scan operating memory for the presence of threats
Boot sectors – monitors the boot records on your computer’s drives for boot viruses
Files – scans all common file types (programs, pictures, music, videos, database files, etc.)
Email files – scans special files used by email clients to store email messages
Archives – scans files contained in archives (RAR, ZIP, ARJ, TAR,..)
Self-extracting archives – self-extracting archives (SFX) are archives needing no specialized programs – archives – to decompress themselves (they are in fact EXE files)
Runtime packers – after executing, runtime packers, unlike standard archive types, decompress in memory. The standard packers include UPX, yoda, ASP pack, etc.)
