In order to provide maximum security for your system, it is essential for ESET NOD32 Antivirus to be correctly configured. Any unqualified change may lower protection capabilities of the program. To avoid any such unauthorized modification, the setup parameters of ESET NOD32 Antivirus can be password protected.

User right settings are dependent on the operating system. On Windows NT, these settings are not available.
Password protect settings
locks/unlocks the program’s setup parameters. Check or uncheck the checkbox to open the Password setup window.
Set password…
enables you to set or change the password to protect the program setup parameters
Requre administrator rights (system without UAC support)
select this option to allow users without administrator rights to authenticate as an administrator when modifying certain program setup parameters (similar to the UAC in Windows Vista). These modifications include disabling protection modules.
Require full administrator rights for limited administrator accounts
select this option to allow users with administrator rights on UAC-aware operating systems to elevate rights when necessary to modify certain program setup parameters.
